DEVELOPING A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE




Aim: To practically understand some vital truths from God’s Word about developing a thanksgiving attitude and lifestyle.

* WHAT EXACTLY IS A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE?
The attitude or posture of continual praise and gratitude to God. Being always grateful to God both for who He is, what He has done for you in Christ and what He is doing in your life.

* IS IT POSSIBLE TO DEVELOP A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE? IF SO HOW?
See that it is important,
Believe it is possible (because you are a new creature & you have a new spirit), 
Renew your MIND, and you will be transformed into a thankful person. 
Practice being thankful.
N.B: Rocket dynamics – how a rocket bursts through the force of gravity into space.

* WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO DEVELOP A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE?
It is with thanksgiving and praise we enter God’s presence, Psa.100:4.
God wants us to give thanks in all things, 1Thes.5:19.
God wants us to serve Him with joy and thankfulness of heart, Deut.28:47.
It helps us to pray effectively, Phil.4:6, John 11:41.

* WHAT THINGS CAN HELP US DEVELOP A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE?
*Consciousness of God being with us, Psa.16:8-9. 
*Choosing to have a different victorious perspective always - Conscious of the victory of Christ and the power of our redemption (2Cor.2:14) - Remembering that all things work together for your good (Rom.8:28), rejoicing in tribulations (Acts 5:41), 2Cor.4:15-18.
*The Words of Jesus (John 15:11),
*Someone who is always thankful will have joy & joy is a fruit of the Spirit, Gal.5:22.
*Focusing (fixing our eyes and feeding our hearts) on the promises of God, 2Pet.1:4
*Counting our blessings (Psa.103:2),

* WHAT THINGS CAN HINDER OUR DEVELOPMENT OF A THANKSGIVING LIFESTYLE?
Starving our hearts of the things that can help us develop a thanksgiving lifestyle
Not being conscious of God being with us
Refusing to have a victorious positive perspective
Not studying the Word
Not yielding to the spirit to help you develop the right perspective and the fruit of joy in you
Focusing more on problems than on the promises of God
Not counting our blessings

How Message Quotes Are Compiled And Designed At The Historic Miracle Centre

  I'm sure you must have seen designs containing quotes that were made during church gatherings or some other events. Something like this: In this blog post, I will be showing you briefly the basic system and structure used in the church I attend - Church of God Mission International, The Historic Miracle Centre, Benin City.  The aim of this post is to inspire and guide any church media team that is interested in either setting up such a structure and system, or beefing up the structure/system they have. Bishop FEB Idahosa (All Time) – Bishop FEB Idahosa is a great man that I have been privileged to meet and be trained and inspired by. One thing I remember very well, is how Bishop FEB made me and other leaders of Christian Fellowship International meet with great ministers of God when these ministers came for Church of God Mission Conventions and programs. I mean people we only see on TV. As a student at that time, those meetings were such a great blessing. Later on as a CGMI Model Church Pastor, we had great times and meetings with Bishop FEB and his lovely wife – Rev.
