Living A Purposeful Life



In April 2021, I had the privilege to share with the Youths during our Family Week at CGMI The Historic Miracle Centre, Benin City.


My topic was: 'Purposeful Living.'

The first thing I said was "purpose is better than life & wife."
Living a long life and having a good spouse will all be meaningless without knowing and fulfilling God's purpose for our lives. Our lives & everything God gives us is so we can fulfil His purpose for our lives.

Purposeful Living is about living your life in a way that will help you discover and fulfil God's purpose for your life.

Four keys to living a purposeful life are:
1. Pressing into Christ - God's utmost purpose for our lives is that our lives be conformed to Christ, (Rom.8:29, Eph.4:15). The more like Christ we become, the more like Him we will perform and the more rewards we will get in Heaven.

2. Serving in the Body of Christ, (Eph.4:16) - as members of the Body of Christ we all have our roles & functions. As we start serving in any capacity, we will get more clarity & guidance to fulfil purpose from both God & spiritual leaders just like it happened to Samuel.

3. Developing Yourself, (1Sam.16:18) - As we discover our callings & giftings, the level at which we will function will be based on the extent to which we grow & develop ourselves. Talent is natural but skill is developed.

4. Preaching the Gospel, (2Cor.5:18) - A major part of our purpose as believers is preaching the gospel of Christ so that others can get saved and fulfil their purpose in Christ also.

How Message Quotes Are Compiled And Designed At The Historic Miracle Centre

  I'm sure you must have seen designs containing quotes that were made during church gatherings or some other events. Something like this: In this blog post, I will be showing you briefly the basic system and structure used in the church I attend - Church of God Mission International, The Historic Miracle Centre, Benin City.  The aim of this post is to inspire and guide any church media team that is interested in either setting up such a structure and system, or beefing up the structure/system they have. So let's dive right into it!    There are basically 5 Whatsapp groups that have been created:   I'll briefly explain what happens in each group: CONTENTS is where people jot down quotes during the service and post. 11 Phenomenal Leaders/ Mentors I have worked directly with/ under (Part A)

Bishop FEB Idahosa (All Time) – Bishop FEB Idahosa is a great man that I have been privileged to meet and be trained and inspired by. One thing I remember very well, is how Bishop FEB made me and other leaders of Christian Fellowship International meet with great ministers of God when these ministers came for Church of God Mission Conventions and programs. I mean people we only see on TV. As a student at that time, those meetings were such a great blessing. Later on as a CGMI Model Church Pastor, we had great times and meetings with Bishop FEB and his lovely wife – Rev. Laurie Idahosa, where we brainstormed, prayed, shared God’s word and were impacted to be better leaders.
